Poetic-Verses

‘' They're In Heaven, While You Rot In Hell ''

As I face retribution,
For past transgressions,
I'll put up a sturdy defence,
I won't seek absolution,
Nor ask for concessions,
Nor will I sit on the fence.

If the lord can sin,
Then why can't I,
To deny me, is a form of abuse,
Where do I begin,
I will not lie,
Like the Gods, I'll use every excuse.

Thou shalt not this,
Thou shalt not that,
Supposedly ordered by Gods,
Someone's taking the piss,
I do smell a rat,
We Humans are renowned for frauds.

Gods who can write,
Snakes who can talk,
If true, then miracles abound,
They can murder and fight,
Our minds they unlock,
Yet, none have ever been found.

A million perish,
There's one left alive,
It's a miracle, some would have you believe?
Why would you cherish,
Or even contrive,
To ignore the ones left to grieve.

They maim and kill,
Pass judgement on you,
It all sounds totally surreal,
If you've the will,
You can too,
Equality has a certain appeal.

It's convenient I'd say,
That you have to meet death,
Before you meet your creator,
As long as you pray,
Before that last breath,
You'll not be classed as a traitor?

If you don't show respect,
Or pray on demand,
You will suffer from serious regrets,
Gods leave lives wrecked,
Can you not understand,
The commandments in reality, are threats.

The opulence on show,
From those who dictate,
Should ring that warning bell,
While their riches flow,
You're left to your fate,

‘' They're In Heaven, While You Rot In Hell ''
